Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
Brico Barrière operates the website bricobarriere.be. This page explains what data we process, and what you can decline.
Nothing is stored without your agreement
When you arrive, no cookie is placed on your device. A banner asks whether you accept audience measurement. Until you answer, and if you decline, nothing is stored and the site works exactly the same. The fonts are hosted on our own server: loading them contacts no third-party service.
We do not sell, rent or share any personal data for commercial purposes.
If you accept: Google Analytics and Google Ads
We measure site traffic and how well our ads perform using Google Analytics 4and Google Ads, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. These tools set cookies that let your browser be recognised from page to page and from visit to visit.
| Purpose | Data | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Audience measurement | Pages viewed, duration, referrer, device type, approximate city | 14 months |
| Ad measurement | The ad click that led to the visit, the call or directions that followed | Per account settings, 13 months at most |
We track three deliberate actions: clicking the phone number, clicking directions and clicking the email address. We do not know who you are: we see that a visit led to a call, not who called. Your IP address is not retained by Google Analytics 4, which truncates it before storage.
This data may be transferred to the United States. Google relies for this on the EU‑US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
If you decline
No cookie is set and nothing identifies you. Google receives only an anonymous signal, with no identifier, indicating that a page was viewed — which lets it estimate visit volumes statistically without knowing you are among them. No feature of the site is reduced.
Changing your mind
The “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page reopens the banner at any time. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it. You can also delete cookies already set from your browser settings.
The Google Maps map
The map on the contact section is not loaded automatically. It only loads if you click "Show the map". From that moment, Google Ireland Limited receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, in line with its privacy policy. You can read our address and get directions without ever loading the map.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any host, it may keep technical logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type) for security and to keep the service running. These logs are not used to identify you or to build a profile.
When you contact us
If you call us on +32 2 534 87 97 or write to info@bricobarriere.be, we keep the information you give us only for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry or your order, and to meet our accounting and legal obligations. That data is used for nothing else.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise those rights, write to info@bricobarriere.be.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.
